Solenoid valves are used to control fluid flow automatically via an electrical signal. A coil of wire, also called an electromagnet, within the valve’s core, is energized to create a magnetic field that moves a plunger. This movement is used to open or close the valve, controlling the flow of liquids or gases going through it.

Solenoid valves are used in virtually every industrial process whether to control fluids directly or in-directly. Typically the body and diaphragm materials are suited to the process media. Pressure ratings and flow rate requirements are a very important consideration when selecting a suitable solenoid valve for your application.

Our range of general purpose solenoid valves feature two way normally closed (power to open) in brass and stainless steel for control of air, water, vacuum, light oil and most other inert non-aggressive non-corrosive gases and liquid media.
